BT utilises a Preferred Supplier List (PSL) to provide temporary agency personnel to fulfil a variety of activities within BT's operations including Administrative, Call Centre (Inbound & Outbound), Industrial, Accountancy and IT functions. BT also utilises a PSL of Permanent Search agencies to support our own internal Human Resources Permanent Recruitment activity.
BT reviews its Preferred Supplier List arrangements periodically when existing contracts come up for renewal: typically every 2 or 3 years. As BT grows and evolves in the 21st century communications market it will take the opportunity to enhance its contract portfolio and contract skill base as and when appropriate.
This site will continue to be the medium through which BT publishes future requirements. The notices which appear on this site will provide details of the requirement being tendered and any essential Gate Criteria that must be met.
These Gate criteria requirements may include:-
a) A certain level of current business revenue generated directly from the provision of contract personnel (level is determined by the nature of requirement).
b) An established major Corporate Account client base.
c) An ability to provide temporary personnel to any location within the UK with a supporting management structure.
d) Compliance with ISO9000 or equivalent quality standards.
e) An ability and willingness to conduct transactions electronically.
The publication of such a notice provides the opportunity for any supplier to register their interest in being considered for the tender. This in no way infers that the supplier will receive a tender or that BT will tender for the requirement
From the replies to the notice a number of suppliers may be short-listed and may subsequently be invited to take part in a formal, competitive tendering exercise. Successful suppliers will be awarded a contract and become BT Preferred Suppliers.
There are no opportunities to supply BT from outside the Preferred Supplier List.
