What BT Buys - Construction
Introduction
BT now outsources its property and estate management services to Telereal Services Ltd, a joint venture between Land Securities Trillium and the Pears Group. This means that virtually all of BT's requirements in respect of building construction activities are now met by this service provider and its supply chain.
Details
The Telereal supply chain comprises of approximately twenty six construction industry Professional Consultant firms (all major disciplines represented) together with four Tier 1 (Main) Contractors. These Consultants and Contractors have come together to form a partnership for the delivery of BT's construction requirements via the Telereal contracting model. The contracting model is based upon the New Engineering Contract suite of documents and embraces the principles of the Latham and Egan Reports. Outside, but in close collaboration with the partnership, are a limited number of Tier 2 (Sub) Contractors who have preferred status with Telereal.
